"Wooooo, look who brought use some lunch!" A cheering voice bellowed through the grounds of Moonstone tower, followed by the sounds of squeaky wheels rolling on bumpy ground. Flashing nocturnal eyes pointed at Kennedy as she pulled a rusty black wagon that was weighted down with the bodies of dead deer all in various stages of life, on-top of all them them rested the body of a well feed Stag... The wolves will feast well for some time with Kennedy's hunt.
Moonlight from the crescent moon kissed Kennedy and her catch as she entered the clearing from the out-skirts of the forest. Chuckling with youthful pride as Kennedy pulled her heavy kills to the butchering area, she scanned the faces of her fellow weres looking for happiness and acceptance... but found slight annoyance at her her loud entrance. "What's the matter? Got fleas in your pelt? Help me butcher my hunt so we all can eat." She finally got the reaction she was looking for from her tribe-mates as they laughed and helped her pull the of load of dead deers to the butcher station.
Her and several others loaded the big stag on the table, the heavy body making a load thud and what little blood that remained dripped on the sturdy old table. Kennedy looked at the several werewolves that now joined her side, "now I expect you guys to have your pretty Pradas planted here and help me cut up this meat." A full days hunting has taxed all energy reserves that she had stored, and she would be damned if she was going to be the person that brought home the bacon AND cut the food into bite-sized chucks for her clan.
Kennedy wouldn't have much resistance with the request, certain cuts of the deer is more desirable than the others, and to make sure that you and your family has the best meat is to A) Be an alpha, B) hunt the meat, and C) be there when the meat is butchered.. the ones who were left out gets scraps. Cutting meat is serious business among the werewolves, and already Kennedy and the carcasses was beginning to be circled like sharks of hungry weres looking for that good cut of meat.
Now, now, there's plenty for everyone. She pointed at the few weres that came to her aid first, You guys can help for for the moment. The weres that she pointed out quickly picked up a few carving knives ready to cut into some flesh, while the other weres glared with hungry eyes at the food. Quickly looking at the glaring weres before turning to work, Kennedy chuckled: "don't get your tails in a twist, this stag alone will feed several people, and there's plenty more where that came from." This quelled the weres for the time being, but she knew it wouldn't be long before their hungry glares returned. Living on the land like this the tribe has seen good hunting weeks and bad weeks, you never know where your next meal will be coming, so every hunting day is an important day.
Kennedy was just happy that her knowledge of the wilderness has helped the tribe so much, in the few months that she has been here the tribe has had almost double the amount of meat from her hunts. Her few years of living on her own after being turned into a werewolf has turned the surrounding woods into a close friend, rather than a scarey stranger which is how some warriors and hunters around camp sees the woods.
Kennedy began to hum quietly to herself as her blade pierced the stag and she began to carve at the meat...
